FOIA Request to City of Merrill Regarding Same Day Registered Voters in 2024 Election on November 7, 2024.
In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NC Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, we are committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill these professional responsibilities. In line with this commitment, we have requested that any fees associated with accessing these records be waived due to our role as a media organization disseminating information to the public.
We will continue to update the public as we receive more information from the City of Merrill regarding this request.
