FOIA Request to City of Phillips Regarding Same Day Registered Voters on November 7, 2024. As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at NC Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to comprehensive and accurate news coverage, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. We believe that as members of the media involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
We look forward to the City of Phillips’ cooperation in this matter and will continue our efforts to provide the public with crucial information about their local government’s operations.
