FOIA Request to Town of Cassian Regarding Newly Registered Voters on November 7, 2024.
We at NC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have sent an official request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization committed to transparency and public accountability, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
