FOIA Request to Town Of Harmony Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As a dedicated media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, NC Wisconsin News has submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
The request was made in line with our professional responsibilities as journalists which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Access to these public records is essential for us at NC Wisconsin News to fulfill these responsibilities.
Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals. We await a positive response from the Town Of Harmony and remain open for any questions regarding this request.
