A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Town of Three Lakes, Wisconsin, on November 7, 2024. The request was made by NC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
The request asked for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we at NC Wisconsin News believe that access to such records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities.
As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we have requested a fee waiver for this information under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., stating our role in disseminating information as grounds for eligibility.
