FOIA Request to Town of Wilson Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at NC Wisconsin News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Town of Wilson. The request, dated November 7, 2024, seeks access to public records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq.
Specifically, we have requested a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024. This information is crucial for our comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
As a media organization, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
