Price County: 1.1% less students were enrolled in 2024-25 school year

There were 1,464 students enrolled in Price County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 1.1% less than the previous school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 51.7% identified themselves as male, 48.3% as female.

Data also showed that white students comprised 87.5% of the student body in Price County schools—the largest share—followed by multiracial students at 3.4%, Hispanic students at 3.3%, and Pacific Islander students at 3.1%.

Phillips Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Price County’s nine schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 302 students.

Wisconsin ranked 29th in the U.S. for student-to-teacher ratio at 14:1, according to a study by AAA State of Play.
