City of Park Falls recently issued the following announcement.
Flambeau 40 On-Road Bike Race & Time Trial
Begins: 9/5/2020 - 9:00 AM
Ends: 9/6/2020 - 2:00 PM
Road Race - September 5th
A thirty-six (36) mile, on-road bike race, consisting of beautiful rolling hills along the Flambeau River west of Park Falls.
Time Trial - September 6th
A twelve (12) mile race on a section of the Flambeau River northeast of Park Falls consisting of multiple scenic and challenging riding opportunities.
Both races are open to anyone who wants to safely participate in self-imposed challenges with friendly competition. All pre-registered entrants receive a T-shirt, fruit along with lunch for the road race. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Professional timing for both races.
Starts at 9:00 am at Chequamegon High School, 420 9th St. N., Park Falls. Special awards to the top overall male and female finishers; and certificates to the top 3 finishers in each WISport age class.
