Applications are now being accepted to fill upcoming vacancies and to establish an eligibility list. In the next 10 years nearly 50% of the Department’s sworn officers will be within the retirement window. This is a great opportunity to be part of vast internal growth and organizational building.
Salary & benefits: Salary is based on current contractual agreement. Benefits include paid vacation, health and life insurance, sick leave, annual clothing allowance, educational incentive, shift differential, Wisconsin Retirement System, holiday pay, and deferred compensation.
Qualifications: U. S. Citizen, Minimum age 18, 21 preferred, eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board certification, high school diploma, 60 college credits, drivers license with a good driving record, good physical condition, ability to possess a firearm, no felony convictions, no domestic abuse convictions, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work unconventional hours, weekends, and holidays, ability to perform essential functions of this position, ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment.
