A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Vilas County on October 7, 2024. The request was made by NC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
The request was made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and sought access to the county's FOIA logs from January 1, 2024, until October 7, 2024. The specific fields requested include the requester's name and organization, the content of the request, the date of the request and its completion date, as well as the status of the FOIA.
