A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Town Of Carey in Wisconsin regarding new voter registrations on November 7, 2024. The request was made by NC Wisconsin News, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the request, we asked for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. As part of our mission to provide transparency and hold public institutions accountable, access to these public records is essential.
As members of the media involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals. We are awaiting a response from the Town Of Carey and will update our readers as soon as more information becomes available.
