Antigo Unified School District had the highest enrollment among Langlade County districts, welcoming 1,999 students during the 2023-24 academic year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.8% of them were boys, and 48.2% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 92.9% of the Antigo Unified School District's total enrollment.

Among the three districts in Langlade County, Elcho School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 253 students, while White Lake School District welcomed 172 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Antigo Unified School District roughly covers schools within Langlade County, with its main office in Antigo.

In the previous school year, Antigo Unified School District also had the highest number of students among Langlade County districts.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 14 students in a Wisconsin classroom, compared to the national average of 1:16. AAA State of Play considered Wisconsin to have the 14th best teacher to student ratio in the U.S.
